I use blogger to keep people up to date on my daughters progress and now for school. It is easy to publish blogs and its simple interface makes it easy to navigate.

Pinterest is great for tips on decorating, organizing and cooking. I punch in a few ingredients I have in my fridge and presto!

3. EasyBib

EasyBib is a great citation maker. MLA APA Chicago and more; no matter what you're writing it will help you create citations for your resources.

4. LastPass

LastPass boasts "the last password you have to remember." LastPass securely stores all of your passwords so you only need to know the password to LastPass. I use it for all of my banking, bills and email sites.

I like to stay connected to my friends. I grew up in southern California so I like to keep up with my High School classmates. Also my daughter has a rare brain disease and she has almost 600 followers I keep informed on her progress.

I check my email constantly so I am always on there. Also I like to read the news stories.

3. Blackboard

I didn't used to but now that I am taking 3 online classes this quarter I have been on blackboard probably more than Facebook. I am obsessed with checking my grades on assignments.

4. Pandora

Whenever I do homework or am cleaning my house Pandora is on. I love to listen to music and almost any genre. I have over 25 Pandora stations.

1.Hans Rosling: The Best Stats You've Ever Seen
This speaker uses visual aides to help the audience follow the relation between various data. It is fascinating to see the the difference in countries from life expectancy to wealth to family size. Without his visual it would just sound like gibberish.

2. David Pogue: 10 Top Time-Saving Tech Tips
This video is fascinating and uses power point to directly illustrate what he is talking about. He also gives a tip about using power point at the end!

3. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim: Humble plants that hide surprising secrets
This video uses power point to clearly illustrate the various plants that she is talking about.

This post took me so long because I got wrapped up in all of the amazing TED Talks that didn't pertain to the assignment. Why did I not know about this before!?

This site offers an article detailing the rise in the price for higher education. It shows multiple maps with color coding as to which states are rising their cost more than others. It also has a table showing the change in state appropriation for higher education. It succeeds in clearly showing the rate at which tuition rose in 2003, the beginning of the recession.

This article is about the rapid decline in population of Puerto Rico, written just in January of this year. The article suggests that Puerto Rico's rapid decline is due to economic stress. The chart effectively shows the severity of the population decline compared to American states.

This article from 2008 shows the change in weather over the previous 100 years. This article illustrates using graphs that our population growth has had a direct effect on our climate and carbon dioxide levels.

Google Docs allows you to narrow your search for templates based on what your looking for. They offer a lot of templates that are free and downloadable using a Google docs word processor.
